The mattress protectors are machine washable in a front-loading washing machine. Secure the extension with an elastic band or other means to minimize the risk of shaking in the spin cycle; this will help ensure that you do not cause any integrity problems to the male connector in the washing process. We recommend that you wash the pad as often as the control unit. To wash the OOLER hydronic pad, use a front-loading washing machine (one without a shaker).

Hold the tubes of the pad with a thick rubber, string, etc. Wash them with cold water on a delicate cycle. To dry the pad, keep the pad tubes secured and dry on a delicate cycle without heat. Do not bleach, iron or dry clean the pad.

Make sure the pad is completely dry before reconnecting it to a power source. Open the zipper on the outer cover and remove the weighted insert, which is secured in place by fabric ties. The removable outer cover can be machine washed in a front loading washing machine (no shaker). Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle.

To clean a Chilipad, first remove the cap and wash it with soap and water. Then use a damp cloth to clean the pad. If the pad is still dirty, you can use a mild detergent to clean it. Finally, allow the pad to air dry before putting the cover back on.

The cover and pad can be washed in a standard washing machine. If the towel has been stored damp and develops mold or odor, add 1 tablespoon of bleach to 1 gallon of warm water and allow the towel to soak for an hour or two. Then rinse thoroughly to remove any bleach residue. The towel can now be washed in the washing machine to remove any residual stains.

Hang the towel to dry or place it in a storage container.
